Do I need a router?
If you're just using your broadband phone service
account for Lingo and using the Web, then
in most cases you won't need a router.
If you are a business using a network or
a home user with multiple devices that
use your broadband account, you may need
a router.

Can I use Lingo if I have a
DSL USB modem?
No. At this time, modems with USB
interfaces are not compatible.

Will my integrated Cable/DSL
modem and router work with Lingo?
Yes, as long as it is Ethernet or 802.3 compatible it will work with Lingo's voice over IP solution.

Do I need a computer to use
Lingo?
No. The Lingo phone adaptor or broadband gateway that we
provide you will connect directly to
your modem.

Will I be able to use Lingo's voice over IP service
with my existing networking equipment?
Yes. As long has your routers are
configured properly, Lingo will work with
your existing network.

What connections will Lingo
work with?
Lingo is compatible with high-speed
Internet services such as DSL, DSL Lite,
or Cable modem.

Can I use a voice over IP phone that I
purchased from another supplier?
No. At this time Lingo requires the
provided Lingo phone adaptor or gateway broadband device
for operation.

My phone doesn't seem to be
working. What could be wrong?

Check to make sure that your
cable modem is plugged in and its lights
are on. |

Check the physical
connection between your Lingo phone adaptor or broadband
gateway WAN and your modem's local network port. |

Verify that your Ethernet
cable is in good condition and not
crimped or frayed. |

Make sure that your phone is
plugged into the jack for Phone 1.
